Great trip to St. Louis; contract awarded...
Rose Baker and I treveled
to St. Louis to attend a U.S. Department of Labor conference on military base
closings. While at the conference we learned that we had been awarded a contract
with the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Workforce Investment Board for our
proposal, "Forecast of Economic, Population, and Employment Consequences of
the Closing of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station Joint Reserve
Base." Work starts soon.
Stayed at the St.Louis Hyatt at Union Station, which is a very beautiful architectural monument and an impressive historical site.
