Congratulations, Dr. Baker...

Rose Baker, my collaborator on many projects, speeches, and publications, today completed successfully a final oral examination for the PhD degree at Penn State.

 

I was not on her doctoral examining committee. Rather, I acted as cheerleader and back-up driver for her daughter's dance lesson. Coffee, hot and dark

Tobin passed the final oral examination for the PhD degree...

My advisee, Tobin Lopes, today passed his final oral examination for the PhD degree at Penn State:

Maureen Passmore at the Wick Poetry Reading Series 2005-2006...

Information about my daughter Maureen's reading at the Wick Poetry Reading Series tonight (16 Feb 2006) at Kent State University:

She was a 2004 Wick Chapbook Winner. The blurb on the website:
Maureen Passmore is the winner of the 2004 Wick Chapbook Competition for her collection, Stranger Truths. She earned an M.F.A. from Bowling Green State University, where she received the Distinguished Master's Thesis Award. Her poems have appeared in Sycamore Review and have won the Mississippi Review Poetry Prize. She currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
