23,000 visitors...bring it on!

This blog went over 23k visitors this morning. I saw it happen. I was on the Motime site when the counter went from 22,999 to 23,000.

Apparently, many people stop posting to their blogs briefly after they start the blogs. Here is the first posting on my blog on 24 September 2003, a different time in my life:

I am here because I am here because I am here.

I am just sick that my Antclick weblog system on my Mac OS X server has crashed still another time, corrupting entirely my McKoi database. I think that a Java update is the culprit, but, no matter what killed it, it is dead as a door nail. We had 17 weblogs operating on that system. Students, friends, friends of friends. All lost.

Ah, well, life is brief, but life owes me one after this weblog debacle. Must move on.

This weblog system hosted by motime features some flexibility and, I hope, some stability.

My coffee? A cup of Irvings Roast at Irvings Bagels (see map of downtown State College in links in right column). Tasty, as always. More later.

You are all welcome. Sit. Enjoy. Put you feet up. But, no smoking, please. Coffee, hot and dark

Ann's picture of me...

My daughter, Ann, is in the photography emphasis in a BFA program at Penn State. She had an assignment to photograph people at work. Here is her portrait of me deep in thought at work the other day:

There is a lot of open space on that skull, eh? You can see my voodoo doll way in the back over my shoulder. Watch. It'll hoodoo you!Coffee, hot and dark

What a nice fall flower...

Tiffani gave a mum during the summer. The plant is blooming on my back porch:

I really like the deep color. Interesting that it bloomed so late in the year, but what do I know about plants?Coffee, hot and dark
